This class site has
been created for two main reasons. One or both reasons may apply to your class.
1. It is a place for students to upload an
assignment that is part of the DCC
assessment plan and for the instructor or designated assessor to enter the
assessment data for each assignment.
2. It is a place for students to engage in the journal curriculum designed to
encourage spiritual growth and to facilitate instructor-student mentoring. If
your class has a spiritual disciplines journal curriculum (Quest and Online
only), it needs to be a requirement and count at least 10% toward the course
grade.
This
course management system can provide other benefits to a course that is taught
in a classroom. All assignments could be submitted here. Quizzes could be taken
here. PowerPoints and other resources could be posted here. If an instructor
would like to use this site more fully, please contact Bruce Long, the
Associate Dean of Distance Learning, at blong@dallas.edu.
We can quickly convert the site to allow you to receive assignments online and
also help you learn to upload materials for your students to access via the
internet.
You can choose to
use this site just for handling the course embedded assessment or the spiritual
disciplines journal curriculum. That is fine.
If you course has a
course-embedded assessment, there is a training video on doing this assessment.
Click Assessment
Training Video to view that training (about 19 minutes). Any questions
can be addressed to the academic office. Thank you for your help.
