Assignment #4: Excel Worksheet

 

  1. Start with a new workbook.
  2. On Worksheet 1 create a worksheet that converts
    1. Inches to centimeters
    2. Pounds to Kilograms
    3. Miles to kilometers

It should look like the table below. I want to be able to put a number in the inches, pounds and miles column and have a formula compute the centimeters, kilograms and kilometers.

  1. On Worksheet 2 create a worksheet that:
    1. Has a list of at least 10 items that you might buy at the grocery store along with the cost of each item.
    2. At the bottom of the column enter a formula that totals the list (TOTAL)
    3. Below the TOTAL column, put in a formula that averages the cost of the items.
    4. Below the average cell, put in a formula that figures what percent of your $300 monthly food budget you just spent.
    5. It should look similar to this:

  1. Put your name in the Excel spreadsheet and save it as firstname_lastname_4.xls. You can give the disk to the instructor or email the assignment. If you email please follow this protocol:
    1. Put your name in the subject of the email followed by a colon.
    2. Put your class time in the subject line after the colon.
    3. Put Assignment #4 in the subject line after the class time.
