DCC Virtual Classroom: Host Tutorials

First Things First:

1. Create a free Basic WebEx account (click here to sign up if you do not already have one).
2. Visit the Cisco Webex System Requirements page and click on "Cisco Webex Meetings" at the top of the page. Make sure the computer you intend to use meets or exceeds the recommended system requirements listed for your particular operating system and internet browser of choice.
   • Click here to verify that you have the latest version of Java installed.
3. Review the Getting Started with the DCC Virtual Classroom (Web Conferencing) tutorial.

Host Tutorials:

Listed below are links to WebEx tutorials covering some of the basics of hosting a meeting. Even if you do not have a specific/immediate need for some of these, we recommend that you review each one at least once in order to become more aware of what is possible in WebEx.

• Schedule a meeting
• Start a scheduled meeting
• Uploading and attaching files
  • Note: It is highly recommended that you use your class Moodle site for uploading and sharing of important files rather than the WebEx meeting space. The reason for this is due to the fact that only a portion of students who attend the live WebEx session online will have access to the file, whereas an upload to Moodle will be readily available to all students before and after the class session.
